Bank of America was taken hostage in Coral Gables, Florida. The Miami hostage situation may have begun with a kidnapping earlier within the day, though investigations can be ongoing. At approximately 11:42 this morning, Coral Gables police confirmed the last person was out of the financial institution and the Miami hostage scenario was over.

Thurs night, there was a kidnapping connected to the Coral Gables Bank of America heist. A bomb was strapped to the person who was kidnapped. That person entered the Coral Gables bank. The response to the hostage situation began at 8 within the morning. Schools in the area were locked down during the Miami hostage situation. Transportation around the financial institution was also shut down.
Coral Gables Bank robbery associated with home attack the night before
The Coral Gables Bank robbery started on Thursday night, with a home attack at the Nob Hill apartments. All all-points bulletin has been issued for a red Mustang car with two passengers that might be linked to this kidnapping and home attack. It was a Coral Gables Bank of America employee that was strapped to the explosive device. Nobody is certain yet if those responsible for this crime actually entered the bank. There isn’t yet a word on if the Coral Gables Bank hostage was actually a robbery, or if there was some other motivation for the crimes.
Miami hostage scenario over, bomb remains
There is full confirmation from Coral Gables Bank and the FBI that hostages were held within the financial institution during the morning. By 11:20 a.m. local time, the last person held hostage exited the building. The explosive device that had been strapped to an employee was evidently removed, because everyone left the building and the explosive device was still inside. The bomb squad and FBI remained on the scene while the explosive device was diffused. The preventative and protective closures at schools and for transportation stayed in placed until anything was declared clear.
